Wildflower Beds on Ecco Rd

I was happy to be able to help Dundalk Tidy Towns with their install of wildlife beds on the Ecco Rd. Admittedly, having been tasked with getting a wheelbarrow there, I should have been suspicious that it wasn't just a typical litter pick. Little did I know that was not to be close to the hardest part of the day!

60 Sleepers and 16 tonnes of soil later, we were all very tired and weather beaten. But they look great. This was not just an aesthetic and biodiversity enhancing project. It was money saving too, as when this idea was quoted with a landscaping firm, they quoted well in excess of 25k!

All this amounted to roughly a fifth of that—all thanks to the Herculean effort of the DTT volunteers!

I'm really looking forward to seeing this bloom!
